Tea time is more than just sipping a warm cup — it’s a cultural experience. That’s exactly what Duchess Fine Teas aims to bring to Filipino tea lovers.
The brand made its successful launch on 27 March through multiple sales channels, including online platforms, retail stores, pop-up events, and partnerships with hotels and restaurants. Offering both loose-leaf and bagged teas, Duchess Fine Teas caters to tea enthusiasts and businesses alike.
Founded by Dee Ledonio, the brand seeks to bring the world’s finest teas to homes, cafés, hotels, and restaurants across the country.
"Tea is more than just a drink — it’s an experience, a ritual, and a connection to cultures across the world. At Duchess Fine Teas, we are passionate about sourcing only the best, ensuring that every sip tells a story," Ledonio shared.
Her journey into the world of tea was unplanned but serendipitous. Through her travels across Europe — particularly the UK — Ledonio fell in love with the elegance of tea culture, visiting charming cafés and discovering exquisite blends.
Meanwhile, the spark for her own tea business came in January 2025 after she received a curated gift set of fine loose-leaf teas from India in Christmas 2024.
"Someone gifted me a tea set from India, and I thought, ‘Why aren’t there more premium teas available in the Philippines? Maybe I should start importing some,’" she explained.
The brand sources handpicked teas from renowned tea-growing regions and partners with esteemed international tea brands to ensure authenticity and quality.
Among its selections are teas from Sancha, Tea Shelf, Dancing Leaf, Goodwyn, Hillcarts, and Tea Trunk (India); Savis (Indonesia); Ikkyu (Japan); Monteaco (Thailand); JSY (Taiwan); Nokchawon (Korea); and Duchess Fine Teas’ own line from China.
With a thoughtfully curated collection of premium teas and blends, Duchess Fine Teas aims to offer Filipinos a natural, wellness-driven alternative to coffee and sugary drinks.
Rooted in centuries-old traditions of healing, relaxation, and sophistication, tea is finally taking its rightful place in the local market — one exquisite sip at a time.
