Bea de Leon has found her stride with Creamline, quickly understanding why the Cool Smashers have established themselves as the dominant force in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

For the 17th consecutive time, Creamline has secured a spot in the PVL semifinals, further cementing its reputation as a powerhouse team.

Its latest victory came on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, where the Cool Smashers clinched a hard-fought four-set win over Chery Tiggo, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22, in Game 2 of their race-to-two quarterfinal series.

De Leon, who joined Creamline in 2024 after moving from Choco Mucho, credits the team’s success to its deeply ingrained winning culture.

For her, the environment within the Cool Smashers is what sets them apart from other teams in the league.

“For me, it’s really about the culture. The mindset of each player, from the leaders to everyone on the team, is exceptional,” said De Leon.

“The coaches ensure that there is always something new to learn, and we push ourselves to give our best every day, no matter how exhausting or challenging it gets. For me, what truly stands out is the winning culture.”

Since her arrival, De Leon has seamlessly blended into the team’s system, proving her value not only as a skilled middle blocker but also as a leader on the court. Her presence has strengthened Creamline’s already formidable roster, making the squad an even tougher opponent.

De Leon’s contributions were in full display against Chery Tiggo, where she delivered a stellar performance, earning Player of the Game honors with 14 points, including five crucial blocks. Her defensive prowess at the net played a vital role in Creamline’s victory, thwarting the Crossovers’ offensive efforts and shifting momentum in favor of the Cool Smashers.

Beyond individual performances, De Leon emphasized the importance of teamwork and chemistry in sustaining Creamline’s dominance. According to her, success in volleyball is not just about talent but also about the ability to work cohesively as a unit.

“It’s not just about one or two players stepping up,” she explained.

“It’s about how we all contribute to the team’s success. That’s what makes Creamline so special — we lift each other up, and we fight for every point together.”

Now, with the Cool Smashers advancing to the round-robin Final Four set to begin on 29 March, De Leon remains focused on continuing Creamline’s dominance and adding another championship to their storied legacy.

As they prepare for tougher battles ahead, she remains determined to uphold the winning culture that has defined Creamline’s success over the years.
