A Bataeño, Enrico Yuzon, is one of the 30 newly-promoted generals and Flag officers of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
A Civil engineer in profession, B/Gen. Yuzon belongs to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Command, known officially as the AFP RESCOM or RESCOM, (Filipino: Pangasiwaan ng Panlaang Kawal ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas).
RESCOM is one of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Major Support Commands created for the sole purpose of Reserve Force but are ready for mobilization in case of war or invasion by other forces.
A long-time chief of the Provincial Engineering Office of the Bataan capitol, Gen. Yuzon is in command of seven RESCOM battalion in Central Luzon.
The 30 other newly promoted generals and flag officers waiting confirmation from the Commission of Appointments include: Major Generals, Edwin Amadar, Benedict Balaba, Donald Gumiran, Francisco Lorenzo Jr., Michael Samson and Elmer Suderio. Rear Admiral, Karl Decapia. Brigadier Generals, Onorlie Brillantes, Ricky Bunayog, Edgar Catu, Bayani Curaming, Patrick de Villa, Billy dela Rosa, Danilo Dupiag, Romell Allan Genete, Dean Mark Mamaril, Vicente Naldoza Jr., Eugenio Julio Osias IV, Nhel Richard Patricio, Nestor Pedro, Melencio Ragudo, Erwin Salibad and Enrico Yuzon. Commodores, Sergio Bartolome, Zosimo Bolaños Jr., Joselito de Guzman, Lued Lincuna, Jeff Rene Nadugo, Edwin Nera and Charles Merric Villanueva.
The list of military appointees awaiting CA confirmation also includes 202 new colonels and 45 new naval captains, it was learned.
Members of the Philippine Army’s Community Defense Centers (CDC-Bataan) meanwhile, have offered their services to the community particularly in Limay town and Mariveles towns.
In their courtesy call with Mayor Richie Jason David, the CDC led by Sgt. Joseph Cabillan and accompanied by barangay captain Johnny Cereso of Barangay Duale, offered their services, such as in responding in times of calamities, emergencies, among others.
With a strong membership of 30 personnel, the CDC group’s Charlie company, covers Limay and Mariveles as their Area of Responsibility.
The CDC wanted also to put up their command center in this town for them to easily respond in times of calamities and emergencies.
Mayor David, for his part, welcomed the group and will look forward to their request to have a station in this town.
“We can also accommodate them in my Barangay Duale,” Cereso said.
CDC is part of the Philippine Army›s Reserve Command (RESCOM), which are responsible for reserve force management.
The 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command is a line unit of the Army Reserve Command of the Philippine Army. It was created for the sole purpose of Reserve Force management, procurement and organization in the areas encompassing Central Luzon.
