There were stories in the hospitals about lack of medicine, a shortage of a lot of things,’ she said. Photograph courtesy of Sarah Discaya/FB

Discaya pledges completion of Rosario Sports Complex

Pasig mayoral candidate Sarah Discaya pledged to complete the construction of the world-class Rosario Sports Complex in Barangay Rosario, which was left unfinished by the previous administration, if she wins in the midterm elections.

The sports complex, whose construction was started in 1990, will be one of Discaya’s key projects to inspire more youth to engage in sports.

“We’ve discussed this already, and it’s posted on our pages and tarpaulins. We will continue the work on the sports complex,” Discaya said during a medical mission in Barangay Rosario on Saturday.

Discaya emphasized that the facility’s completion would benefit all Pasigueños, particularly students, by providing a venue for sporting events.

“This is not just for me but for the people of Pasig, especially the students interested in sports,” she said. “It’s a waste that only the plants are benefitting from it right now.”

As a successful businesswoman and owner of a construction company, Discaya also promised to pursue other infrastructure projects, including housing for indigent families, a new public hospital, a geriatric hospital, a city-run university, and more school buildings.
