A mountain in central China’s Hubei province has become a tourist attraction because of its interesting shape.

Shanghai-based designer Guo Qingshan noticed that the mountain in Yichang’s Zigui County looks like a dog resting its head on the ground next to the Yangtze River and took a photo of it from a distant observation deck.

“The puppy’s posture is like it’s drinking water, or it’s looking at some fish,” Guo said, according to New York Post (NYP).

On Valentine’s Day, Guo posted the photo on Chinese social media with the caption “Puppy Mountain” and it went viral, drawing millions of views. Soon, people were going to the place, bringing their pets with them.

Visitors took photos of the mountain together with their dogs and shared their pictures on social media.

Meanwhile, an inconspicuous park in Japan is starting to get noticed after setting a new Guinness World Record (GWR).

A GWR representative awarded the GWR certificate to park officials in a ceremony held on 25 February at Nagaizumi Town Hall in Shizuoka, Japan, CNN reported.

The park was constructed in 1988 on extra space created by a road construction, just a short walk from the town hall of Nagaizumi. Measuring just 0.24-square meters, or four sheets of paper, it features a block of a wooden stool supported by a rock and encircled by a bush.

Inspiring the creation of the tiny park was the previous record holder, Mill Ends Park in Portland, Oregon, USA.

The park located in the median strip of SW Naito Parkway features a small tree measuring 0.29 square meters.
