The Provincial Government of Bataan is taking a major step toward digital transformation in education by equipping thousands of teachers with new technology. In partnership with Power Mac Center (PMC), the province distributed over 4,000 MacBook devices to elementary teachers, school heads, and computer laboratories, reinforcing its commitment to modernized learning.
Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III led the turnover ceremony, highlighting how the initiative integrates digital tools into classrooms to enhance teaching methods and create a more interactive learning experience.
“Power Mac Center is honored to extend our education solutions to the local government of Bataan and its dedicated teachers to empower them amid the increasingly tech-driven education setting. We hope to partner with more local governments and members of the academe in our mission to continuously help Filipino students be globally competitive,” said PMC Director for Marketing and Product Management Joey Alvarez.
More than just supplying devices, the partnership includes training programs for teachers and school administrators on maximizing Apple technology for education. PMC also provides priority servicing, repairs, and technical support to ensure a smooth transition to digital learning.
Bataan Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia emphasized the province’s commitment to education through this investment.
“Alam natin na makakatulong ito sa inyong pagtuturo, paggawa ng inyong mga lesson plans (We know that this will help you in your teaching, creating your lesson plans),” she said. “Makakaasa po kayo at ipinagmamalaki ko sa iba pang mga Vice Governor sa ibang probinsya na talagang ang ating SEF o special education fund ay talaga namang ramdam sa ating lalawigan ng Bataan, at talagang ibinibigay natin yung parte para sa ating education system (Rest assured and I proudly tell Vice Governors in other provinces that our SEF or special education fund is fully harnessed in our province of Bataan, and we are really giving the share for our education system).”
This recent distribution follows an initial rollout in 2023, which provided MacBooks to 2,500 junior and senior high school teachers and division supervisors.
MacBooks to boost digital learning
PMC’s Education Business group continues to support schools and local governments by offering customized Apple solutions designed for modern classrooms. The company provides end-to-end assistance, including procurement, training, and servicing. Schools and local government units can access specialized support to help educators integrate digital tools into their teaching strategies.
With a strong retail presence in Central Luzon, including branches in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Zambales, PMC is making technology more accessible to schools and academic institutions looking to embrace digital learning.
Beyond institutional partnerships, PMC also offers special education pricing for Apple devices and accessories, making it easier for students, faculty, and school administrators to invest in digital learning tools.
