Phl hosts ASSEAN Senators' 1st board meeting in Pasay City

The Philippines recently hosted the ASSEAN Senators 1st Board of Directors Meeting 2025 at the Lime Resort Hotel, Seascape Village. The event, which brought together JCI Senators and delegates from across Southeast Asia, aimed to strengthen collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and economic opportunities within the region.

This year’s theme was "ASSEAN WITH A HEART."

The meeting was led by ASSEAN President (2025) Mr. Theodore Quindoy Garcia, a former executive assistant to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director.

Garcia, known for his results-driven leadership, outlined his strategic goals for the year, focusing on strengthening internal operations, updating the membership database, and creating a Coffee Table Book documenting ASSEAN JCI's impactful initiatives.

Guest speakers included Ms. Marian Pacunana, Business Development Officer at Urban Farmers Phils., Ms. Reggie Fernando of the Association of Rabbit Meat Producers, JCI Senator Adele Tran from Vietnam, and JCI Senator Ditri Kemala Ritzki from Indonesia, among others.

During the meeting, Garcia emphasized his leadership philosophy, “LET’S GO TO WORK…AND WORK TOGETHER!” His approach centers on ensuring ASEAN remains proactive in addressing regional challenges and creating opportunities, particularly in the Philippines.

The ASSEAN Senators’ Association comprises nine member countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Myanmar.

The organization empowers individuals through leadership training, business networking, and community development initiatives, with approximately 200 members across its member countries.
