The latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed that Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment is the least among the voters’ consideration for the 2025 elections, despite being a major issue.

Conducted from 15 to 19 February, the poll showed that only 53% of respondents would support a candidate backing a fair trial for the vice president in the Senate, the least favored among 15 key issues presented.

Meanwhile, the development of agriculture and ensuring food security as well as strengthening the health care system emerged as the top responses with 90%.

The recent SWS poll found that key voter concerns include agriculture, healthcare, employment, and education.

Other key advocacies highlighted in the survey include increasing job opportunities and providing equal access to education, both supported by 89% of respondents.

Additionally, 88% of voters favor promoting workers’ rights and overseas Filipino worker welfare, while 83% prioritize reducing poverty and hunger.

Controlling the prices of basic services and goods is backed by 81%, followed by 79% advocating for action on climate change.

Defending national security and sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea and fighting illegal drugs both garnered 77% support, while promoting energy security and the use of renewable energy received 75%.

Meanwhile, 72% of respondents are in favor of fighting common crimes, 70% support eradicating graft and corruption, and 63% back the enactment of a law against political dynasties.

The survey, which interviewed 1,800 voters face-to-face, reflected Filipinos’ priorities for the upcoming midterm elections.
