The Northern Police District held a solidarity pact signing on Friday, ensuring the district’s unwavering commitment to ensuring peace ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.
Northern Police District Acting District Director Josefino Ligan led the signing event, which was also attended by officials of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and other police officers from the NPD.
“It is a solid pledge for us to prevent violence, deter illegal activities, and promote a fair electoral process,” Ligan said.
He also highlighted the crucial role of NCRPO leadership in preparing for upcoming challenges, enhancing inter-agency collaboration, and rebuilding public trust in law enforcement.
Dr. Arwin Serrano, National Coordinator of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), expressed that they are ready for the midterm elections, sharing that they have at least 3,000 to 4,000 volunteers in the Camanava area.
“Most importantly, we must be able to guide the voters so that they can vote wisely, that’s our promise.”
Serrano shared that they will try their best to implement Voter Assistance Desks within the voting precincts in Camanava.
The PPCRV volunteer also assured that they will remain non-partisan and will strictly coordinate with their stakeholders and election officers ahead of the polls.
Among the signees in the solidarity pledge are NCRPO Chief Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, NPD Acting District Director Colonel Josefino Ligan, and the chiefs of the Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela police stations.
