All for one At the center of a great alliance, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. upholds unity as always, as he shows support for the ‘Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas’ which consists of the country’s five major political parties: Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), Nacionalista Party (NP) and National Unity Party (NUP). Binay bullish on Alyansa Senate bets' chances

Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Abby Binay expressed confidence that the Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas administration coalition will perform well in Metro Manila during the upcoming midterm elections.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday alongside other candidates backed by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Binay highlighted the diverse experience within the Alyansa slate, which includes local executives and former and current legislators.

“The Alyansa is a well-balanced team. Some have experience in the executive branch, while others have served in the legislative branch. Each of them brings valuable contributions that have benefited Metro Manila,” Binay said.

She also pointed to her health and education programs in Makati, which she believes have set an example for other cities in the National Capital Region. These include free maintenance medicines, hospitalization, unlimited chemotherapy and dialysis, and digital learning tools for students alongside free school uniforms, shoes, bags, and supplies.

If elected to the Senate, Binay said she intends to expand these initiatives nationwide by filing legislation to provide free maintenance medicines, life-saving treatments, and preventive healthcare services.

She also aims to improve school facilities, construct more classrooms in rural areas, and expand digital learning access.

"Providing free access to life-saving yet expensive medicines to patients with cancer or other serious illnesses, especially those from poor families, is one of the advocacies I intend to pursue in the Senate.” Binay had said at a 13 February event.

She stressed that lack of funds should not be a death sentence for patients suffering from cancer and other critical diseases, particularly children who deserve a chance to recover and pursue their dreams.
