A private jet registered to Vince Neil, lead singer of Mötley Crüe, was involved in a fatal crash Monday afternoon at Scottsdale Airport, according to Fox News.

Reports indicate that the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff, prompting an emergency response from local authorities.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of casualties or whether Neil was onboard at the time. However, sources close to the musician state that he was not on the flight when the crash occurred.

The incident is part of a series of recent aviation accidents in the United States.

This is a developing story.
