The energy was electric, the drums were pounding, and the excitement was palpable as Kaunlad Pinoy officially launched its campaign in Sta. Ana, Manila on Tuesday, marking the start of a journey rooted in hope, hard work and commitment to every Filipino.
By 6 a.m., the streets of Barangay 899, Zone 100 were already alive with activity. Supporters gathered, vendors set up their stalls, and the Kaunlad Pinoy team, led by first nominee Christopher “Kuya Choi” Napoles, hit the streets to connect with the community.
For Kuya Choi and the team, Sta. Ana holds a special place in their journey.
“This is one of the first places we’ve worked with and helped,” he shared with DAILY TRIBUNE. “The people here are hardworking, very business-minded, and full of ideas for different kinds of businesses.”
As part of their commitment to small businesses, Kuya Choi visited the Sta. Ana public market, meeting vendors, shaking hands and distributing aprons to local entrepreneurs. These gestures reflected Kaunlad Pinoy’s mission to support every hardworking Filipino in building a better future.
After a morning of connecting with Sta. Ana’s people, the team attended Mass at the Ina ng Laging Saklolo Church in Cardinal Sin Village to offer prayers for the campaign.
“We chose the morning to start with mass, to thank the Lord, and begin the day with gratitude,” Kuya Choi said.
Faith is a cornerstone of Kaunlad Pinoy’s advocacy, believing success comes not just from hard work, but also from a strong moral foundation.
The rally was more than just speeches; it was a celebration of resilience, entrepreneurship and community.
The sound of drums filled the air as the team returned to Barangay 899, and supporters enjoyed meals from NegoNation Kaunlad Pinoy, highlighting the role of micro and small businesses in nation-building.
Throughout the day, Kaunlad Pinoy continued engaging with the people, listening to their concerns and sharing their vision for a future where every Filipino entrepreneur has the opportunity to succeed.
The Sta. Ana rally marks the beginning of Kaunlad Pinoy’s campaign, perfectly capturing their mission: grassroots connection, support for small businesses and a commitment to making a real difference. With Kaunlad Pinoy 133 on the ballot, the movement is set to bring economic empowerment to every corner of the country. If today’s energy is any indication, this campaign season promises to be one for the books.
