The Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP) ushered in the new year with an energizing start at its first General Membership Meeting (GMM).

Held at The Atrium at Enderun last 30 January, the event brought together industry leaders, marketing professionals, and innovators to outline the blueprint for navigating digital transformation in an ever-evolving landscape.

Dennis Perez, Unilever’s head of marketing for the Philippines and marketing transformation lead for Greater Asia, set the stage with a keynote redefining transformation as a nonlinear, evolutionary process. “Transformation is not a fairy tale; it’s a series of interconnected evolutions,” Perez emphasized.

Revisiting his “ArchiTECHture” framework from DigiCon 2024, Perez shared fresh insights on navigating the complexities of digital transformation with purpose and adaptability. He called on DMAP members to lead as patrons, partners, and pioneers in shaping the future of the digital industry, where people and technology evolve together.

Meanwhile, DMAP president Miko David addressed attendees with gratitude and optimism.

He celebrated the collective efforts of the association’s members and volunteers in driving growth and progress.

“This association’s greatest strength is its members — fantastic marketers, innovators, and changemakers who have signed up because they want to drive change,” David shared. He also outlined DMAP’s vision for 2025, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, inclusivity, and co-creation.

David announced initiatives to make membership more accessible, particularly for individuals and MSMEs, underscoring DMAP’s commitment to fostering growth across all sectors of the digital marketing community.

Adding depth to the evening, a dynamic panel explored DMAP’s five pillars of digital transformation: Commerce, Creation, Strategy, Measurement, and Culture.

Moderated by DMAP corporate secretary Shayne Madamba, the panel featured a stellar lineup of industry leaders, including New Leaf Media Outsourcing president TJ Parpan, Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines (CICP) president Jel Directo, Cognitive AI client services and analytics director Jose Tano, Aeroworx Asia head of business operations Kevin Lao, and Fearless Inc. managing partner and lead consultant for Strategy and Transformation Angeli Beltran.

The conversation provided attendees with practical strategies, success stories, and actionable insights to drive sustainable growth in the digital space.

The evening also marked the induction of DMAP’s 2025 Board of Trustees and welcomed new members, solidifying the association’s commitment to fostering collaboration and leadership across industries.

Guests were encouraged to participate in DMAP committees actively, furthering the organization’s mission to champion growth in digital marketing transformation.
