Mapúa University, a leading institution in engineering and technology, concluded its centennial year with a series of events highlighting its achievements since its establishment in 1925.

The week-long celebration, led by university president Dr. Dodjie Maestrecampo, included the unveiling of the Centennial Square at the Intramuros campus, the Eugene Torre Chess Cup, a Grand Centennial Float Parade, Centennial Lectures, and the 2025 International Conference on Sustainable Environmental Technologies (ICSET).

Key events also featured a testimonial dinner for alumni topnotchers, the launch of a book by former president Dr. Reynaldo Vea, the unveiling of the Centennial Monument and Petro Garden, and Alumni Night. The celebration ended with a Thanksgiving Gala, a Centennial Concert, and a global alumni gathering.

Ahead of its centennial, the university achieved several milestones, including ranking 1501+ in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) 2025, securing the Philippines' first Quality Matters (QM) certification, and winning the NCAA Season 100 basketball championship.

Looking ahead, Mapúa plans to expand its fully online programs, integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its curricula, and enhance its advanced placement system for senior high school students. The institution is also set to strengthen micro-credentialing programs and promote industry-aligned education.
