4 p.m. — Farm Fresh vs Chery Tiggo
6:30 p.m. — Capital1 vs ZUS Coffee
Farm Fresh aims to climb to the upper half of the standings against a Chery Tiggo side looking for a rebound win in the 2024-2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference today at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Fresh off a straight sets drubbing of listless Nxled last Saturday, the Foxies have the momentum in their 4 p.m. encounter and are playing inspired following the debut of prized recruit Jolina dela Cruz.
Out for more than a year after suffering a left knee injury, Dela Cruz announced her return with a 20-point explosion in Farm Fresh’s 25-22, 26-24, 25-21, victory for an even 3-3 win-loss record.
Another triumph will push the Benson Bocboc-mentored team inside the Top 6 and better the Foxies’ chances of landing a favorable position in the playoffs.
“We’ll just try to improve from our previous performance. We just have to work harder,” Bocboc said.
The mentor also emphasized the importance of his young squad learning to read the situation inside the court in what is expected to be a battle of adjustments.
“Most probably Chery will make changes. So, we have to see. Then, hopefully, Farm Fresh will continue to improve,” he said.
Backing Dela Cruz up is a solid crew led by Trisha Tubu, Alyssa Bertolano, Rizza Cruz, Caitlyn Viray and middle blocker Lorene Toring, who also made her Foxies debut the last time out after recovering from a knee injury.
The Crossovers, on the other hand, are eager to recover lost pride after squandering a two-set lead in a 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 15-25, 7-15, loss to Petro Gazz last Tuesday.
Chery Tiggo sports a 4-3 card tied with PLDT.
Veteran Ara Galang is itching to bounce back from a measly four-point outing the last time to help the Crossovers move up to fourth spot. Cess Robles, Czarina Carandang, Pauline Gaston and Aby Marano will be providing support on offense.
Meanwhile, clashing at 6:30 p.m.are ZUS Coffee and Capital1.
The Thunderbelles try to arrest a three-game slide including sorry back-to-back five-setter losses to unbeaten defending champion Creamline and Choco Mucho.
ZUS Coffee holds a 2-4 mark at the ninth spot while the Solar Spikers are coming off back-to-back losses for a 1-5 mark.
