SANTA MARIA, Bulacan — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the construction of the Super Health Center II in Uban, Barangay Catmon on 17 January.

According to DPWH Region 3 Assistant Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo, the project aims to provide essential healthcare services to the community, making it easier and more convenient for residents to access medical care.

“Once completed, this 373.45-square-meter facility will offer vital services, including outpatient care, maternal and child health services, and health education to the people of Catmon and neighboring barangays,” Sto. Domingo explained.

Through the collaborative efforts of DPWH and the Department of Health (DoH), with funding under the 2024 national budget, a new Super Health Center, equipped with modern amenities, aims to improve healthcare accessibility and quality, with completion expected by April.

Also present during the ceremony were Municipal Mayor Bartolome Ramos, Sangguniang Bayan member Esperanza Ramos, DoH-Bulacan Development Management officer V Dra. Emily Paulino, and other officials from both the local government and DPWH.

Meanwhile, the DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office has announced the completion of a 150-square-meter multipurpose building in Calagundian, Barangay Aduas Norte, Cabanatuan City.
