“Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head?”

This famous line from Inside Out resonates deeply, as it prompts us to question the complex journey of healing, growth, and embracing our inherent worth. It’s a reminder that everything we need for well-being begins within.

Luna Garcia embodies this philosophy, serving as a guiding light in the pursuit of holistic wellness, helping others unlock their inner power and transformation.

As a trailblazing health practitioner, Garcia seamlessly blends the precision of science with the wisdom of intuition, creating a holistic approach that addresses the root causes of health concerns.

Her unique methods champion a wellness philosophy that goes beyond symptom relief, focusing on nurturing the mind, body and soul as a unified whole.

Return to basics

The idea of returning to the roots of healing feels like a revelation.

“It’s going back to basics, back to the roots, and using our own body to heal itself,” she explained to PairFect, the DAILY TRIBUNE’s online show.

Luna’s journey into holistic healing began with a strong foundation in the sciences.

“My background is in the sciences. I took up medicine and eventually nursing,” she shared.

Like many children, she once dreamed of becoming a doctor.

While she didn’t pursue an MD, her passion for healing led her to carve a different path — one that prioritizes not just treating symptoms but healing the whole person.

“For me, treating and healing are different. Treating attacks the disease. Healing, however, focuses on the person with the dis-ease

— because it is a dis-ease,” Luna emphasized.

This shift in perspective marked a turning point for her. No longer viewing ailments as isolated problems, she began to see them as signals of imbalance within the body — a perspective that aligns with her holistic approach.

Luna’s philosophy is clear: The body holds the power to heal itself when we provide it with the right tools. “It’s about teaching people to go back to natural solutions,” she stated.

“It’s very holistic — not just treating what we feel, but addressing the root cause. It’s promoting beauty from within.”

This philosophy, rooted in both science and traditional practices, is evident in her work.

Enter the Dolphin Neurostim — a revolutionary, needle-free alternative that brings the benefits of acupuncture without the prick.

“In layman’s terms, it’s like needle-less acupuncture,” shares Garcia, an early adopter and advocate for the technology in the Philippines.

She added, “It’s microcurrent point stimulation therapy. While it sounds complicated, it’s really just a device that delivers microcurrents to stimulate acupuncture points.”

Even as a medical practitioner, she admitted she’s not immune to needle anxiety. “Every time I poked myself with needles, it’s not relaxing at all for me. So when this was introduced in the Philippines, I was one of the first to take the course.”

For Luna, helping patients find relief is what makes her work so rewarding. “I always tell them, ‘Your pain is my joy.’ Not to be mean, but because I love seeing the transformation. You come in with so much pain, and after a session, you’re smiling. That’s when I know it worked.”

Science of stress

Garcia’s practice also emphasizes addressing internal stressors, which she identifies as a root cause of many illnesses.

From emotional trauma to environmental factors like food and technology, she believes stress manifests physically if left unresolved.

“I define stress as any stimulus the body receives. While we can’t control these stressors, we can control how our body reacts to them,” she said.

By teaching clients natural solutions and self-care practices, Garcia empowers them to manage stress holistically.

Self-love as the core of wellness

At the heart of Garcia’s practice is self-love — a concept she sees as the foundation for true healing.

“It’s not selfish,” she explained. “It’s actually the opposite. When you focus on loving yourself, you have more love to give others.”

For Luna, self-love is about tuning into your own needs — emotionally, physically and mentally.

“Self-love is about being present for yourself,” she said. “When you focus on loving yourself, everything else flows. Your energy becomes infinite, and you can give more freely.”

Garcia teaches self-love through personalized programs that blend aesthetics, mental wellness and spiritual growth.

“It’s all-in-one because wellness isn’t just physical. It’s about the body, mind and being,” she mentioned.

Bridging the old and the new

Drawing from her Filipino heritage, Garcia honors indigenous healing traditions, such as the wisdom of manghihilots and albularyos.

Inspired by her grandmother’s experiences in Mount Banahaw, she has incorporated these ancient practices into her work, alongside modern modalities.

“I’m now exploring Philippine indigenous health practices and studying herbs that could be all-in-one healing tools,” she shared. “We have so much wisdom in our roots; it’s time to embrace and share it.”

Let it out

Garcia’s consultations go beyond clinical routines.

“When people visit me, it’s like coming to a friend’s home — casual, relaxed and welcoming,” she highlighted.

She believes healing begins with conversations that unburden the mind and soul.

“Even before I apply any technique, the act of sharing is already healing. When people feel heard and supported, they start to open up and let go of resistance.”

Holistic yet futuristic

With her holistic approach and passion for empowering others, Luna Garcia continues to inspire a shift in how we view wellness.

Her blend of science, traditional healing, and self-love solutions paves the way for a transformative path to health — one that encourages us to reconnect with our bodies and embrace the power of self-care.

“True wellness isn’t just about treating symptoms,” Garcia said. “It’s about healing from within, finding balance, and rediscovering the love we deserve to give ourselves.”

Her work reminds us that the true journey to healing starts from within. It’s time to embrace you.
