BAGUIO CITY — Baguio City and Benguet residents continue to feel the freezing air as temperature in both places remain as low or lower than 14 ° Celsius, according to their respective Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather stations.
Based on the report of PAGASA Baguio, the temperature in the city as of 5 a.m. of 7 January is at 14.6° Celsius. A little bit warmer than the 14.4° Celsius that was recorded in 6 January.
The highest temperature of 7 January will be at 21° Celsius.
Meanwhile, the PAGASA weather station at Benguet State University recorded a 13° Celsius temperature as of 7 January in La Trinidad, the capital town of Benguet, a slight drop from the 13.3° Celsius temperature of the municipality on 6 January.
In Sto. Tomas, Tuba, Benguet, temperature of 11.5° Celsius as of 5 a.m. of the same date will surely make people shiver. On 6 January, the temperature was at 13.2° Celsius.
Health authorities continue to advise residents and visitors in both places to keep themselves warm with thick clothes to avoid catching colds and other diseases. The cool weather is expected to continue until February to March.
