Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, renowned for his unwavering advocacy for health reforms and the welfare of Filipinos, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the public after consistently ranking among the top choices in national senatorial preference surveys for the 2025 elections.

“I am deeply grateful to every Filipino for their continued trust and support. This serves as my inspiration to continue showing compassion and serving the nation,” Senator Go stated, highlighting his motto, “Bisyo ang serbisyo,” which underscores his dedication to serving Filipinos.

Recent results from the Social Weather Stations (SWS) December 2024 survey placed Go in the 3rd to 4th spots, with a solid 32 percent voter preference. Meanwhile, Pulse Asia’s November survey showed an impressive surge to 54.7 percent, up from 40.3 percent in September, with an awareness rating of 99 percent.

“The results of the surveys are not just numbers to me. They are a reminder that there is still so much more I need to do for our fellow Filipinos,” he shared, emphasizing that the trust Filipinos have given him fuels his determination to address their most urgent needs.

Go’s legislative accomplishments speak volumes about his commitment to improving Filipinos’ lives. Among these are 16 laws he authored, 80 principally sponsored measures, including 78 for upgrading public hospitals, and 185 co-authored or co-sponsored laws.

“I will continue providing service with genuine compassion. My dedication to serving, without regard for time or circumstance, is one of the things I can offer you,” he promised.

Health remains at the core of Go’s platform. He monitors Malasakit Centers, advocates for the construction of Super Health Centers and Regional Specialty Centers, and supports the full implementation of the Universal Health Care Law. His proposals include Senate Bill No. (SBN) 195 to establish the Philippine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and SBN 196 to create the Virology Science and Technology Institute of the Philippines.

“Health is a fundamental right and the key to the country’s progress,” Go emphasized, pushing for reforms in PhilHealth to expand benefits and reduce premiums while providing free essential medical supplies.

On job creation, Go introduced SBN 420, the Rural Employment Assistance Program, which aims to provide temporary jobs to displaced workers in rural areas.

“I will continue to advocate for laws and programs that truly improve your lives. My focus now and always is to help those in need, serve to the best of my ability, and leave a smile on your faces, especially during times of sorrow,” Go pledged.

Echoing the advice of former President Rodrigo Duterte, he concluded: “As former President Duterte always advised, prioritize the welfare of your fellow Filipinos, and you will never go wrong.”
