BI deports Chinese nationals involved in illegal POGO, scams

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) successfully deported 34 Chinese nationals who had been detained for various immigration violations.

The operation targeted individuals from Royal Park, Lucky South 99 Outsourcing, and Royal Corporation Xisheng IT. These individuals had already been taken into custody by authorities prior to their deportation.

Among other allegations, the group was accused of working for companies other than its petitioners, overstaying, working without the required visas or permits, and being undocumented. The group had previously been held at the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) facility after being caught engaging in illegal activities linked to online gaming operations.

The deportation took place on 12 December at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via a Philippine Airlines flight bound for Xiamen, China.

BI Commissioner Atty. Joel Anthony Viado reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and cracking down on illicit activities.

"This deportation is a testament to the Bureau’s resolve in enforcing our immigration laws. We will continue to pursue operations like this to protect the country’s sovereignty and uphold the dignity of those victimized by these schemes," Atty. Viado said.

Following their deportation, the names of all 34 individuals were added to the BI Blacklist, permanently barring them from reentering the Philippines.
