MANILA, Philippines – The McDonald’s Stripes Run 2024 concluded on December 1, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, drawing a record-breaking 11,000 participants—the largest turnout in its 13-year history.
Launched in 2010, the annual family fun run celebrates fitness, family, and friendship. This year’s event raised P1 million for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), benefiting Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers, which provide safe spaces for children in underserved communities.
McDonald’s Philippines credited the increased turnout to innovations and a strong digital campaign.
"The McDonald’s Stripes Run has built a loyal following over the years, but we’ve also worked hard to keep it fresh and exciting,” said Adi Timbol-Hernandez, McDonald’s Philippines Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact and RMHC Vice President.
A standout feature this year was the Fur Stripes category, which allowed participants to run with their pets. The category reached its 500-participant capacity, reflecting McDonald’s aim to make the event more inclusive. "It’s a way to celebrate the bond between humans and their pets,” Timbol-Hernandez added.
Celebrities including the Agoncillo Family, KaladKaren, Angeline Quinto, Ysabel Ortega, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco joined the event, energizing the crowd and broadening its appeal.
Proceeds will support the expansion of Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers nationwide. “The long-term goal is to give every child access to quality early learning opportunities,” Timbol-Hernandez emphasized.
