Passengers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 can access a centralized hub for ride-hailing services and metered taxis, officially launched by New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC).

The 6,000-square-meter facility, located within the terminal’s multi-level parking building, features 401 parking slots, 18 loading bays, and dedicated lanes for seamless traffic flow, reducing curbside congestion and improving the passenger experience.

“With a centralized hub and diverse transportation options, we are bringing more order and efficiency to the airport. This is part of our commitment to making travel smoother and stress-free for every passenger,” NNIC general manager Lito Alvarez said on Sunday.

The hub had a soft launch on 5 December 2024, and became fully operational on 8 December, just in time for the busy Christmas travel season.

Grab Philippines, the country’s leading ride-hailing platform, was the first operator to transition to the facility.

“We commend the NNIC for their vision to create a better and more efficient airport experience for passengers. As the nation’s leading ride-hailing platform, Grab is proud to be the first to transition to this centralized station, setting the standard for all TNVS operators,” Grab Philippines country head Ronald Roda said.

JoyRide and Angkas are set to join the hub soon, offering passengers app-based rides, metered taxis and four-wheeled options through Angkas’ Angcars service.

‘Angcars offers passengers a smooth, secure, and dependable option because of our partnership with NNIC. This initiative is a win for travelers, drivers, and airport efficiency alike.’

Passengers without ride-hailing apps can also book rides on-site at dedicated lounges for Grab, JoyRide and Angcars.

With all three operators committing to deploying dedicated airport pickup drivers, the new facility aims to enhance convenience and efficiency for travelers during the holiday rush.

Passengers’ ease

The purpose of the new facility is to improve passenger experience, ease curbside congestion and improve traffic flow.

Starting 10 December, JoyRide will provide its fleet of Super Taxis and app-based rides to the hub. Joyride SVP for Corporate Affairs Noli Eala stated, “Our partnership with NNIC ensures passengers have access to both app-based rides and our dedicated Super Taxi fleet, making reliable transport available for everyone.”

Angkas will also join the facility with its four-wheeled ride service, Angcars. “Angcars offers passengers a smooth, secure and dependable option because of our partnership with NNIC. This initiative is a win for travelers, drivers, and airport efficiency alike,” Angkas CEO George Royeca said.
