The National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR), through the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC), presented to the media counterfeit products seized from multiple warehouses in two malls in Divisoria, Manila, on Wednesday, 27 November 2024. BOC reported that the combined value of confiscated items from these establishments amounted to P7 billion. With Christmas fast approaching, IPOPHL Director General Atty. Rowel Barba urged the public to refrain from purchasing counterfeit items and to support legitimate and local businesses instead. John Carlo Magallon
