Taylor Swift has set an all-time record at the 2024 Grammys by winning the coveted Album Of the Year for Midnights.
Swift, now a 14-time Grammy winner, has so far won the same category for Fearless (2008), 1989 (2014) and Folklore (2020). She is now the artist with the most number of AOTY wins, beating Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder.
The 33-year-old billionaire also took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights while announcing the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, on 19 April.
"I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I am shot-listing a music video, or when I am rehearsing with my dancers or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award, too. So thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much! Mind-blown!" Swift said in her speech.
Phoebe Bridgers had the most wins of the night with Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for "Ghost in the Machine" with SZA, Best Rock Song for "Not Strong Enough" with boygenius (Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus), Best Rock Performance for "Not Strong Enough" with boygenius and Best Alternative Music Album for The Record with boygenius.
Miley Cyrus, meanwhile took home her first-ever Grammy with Record of the Year for Flowers. Its title track, "Flowers," also won Best Pop Solo Performance.
Victoria Monét won Best New Artist, while Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for the Barbie hit "What Was I Made For?". Meanwhile, Karol G became the first female performer to win Best Música Urbana Album for Mañana Será Bonito.
