The Philippine Retailers Association, or PRA, welcomed the appointment of Frederick Go as the secretary of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, or OSAPIEA, by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
PRA president Roberto Claudio said President Marcos' decision to appoint Go reflects a discerning choice, acknowledging his exceptional representation of the private sector and recognizing his potential to make a significant contribution to national economic development.

Go previously served as PRA president and it was during his term that the retailers group won the bid for the Philippines to host the Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition in 2015.
