Brandon back on track

Head coach Frankie Lim can't wait to see Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser back wearing an NLEX jersey.

"He is a very important piece on our team," Lim told DAILY TRIBUNE in a Viber message.

"He provides (us) additional ceiling and he will solve our rebounding problem."

Ganuelas-Rosser's road back to full recovery seems to be on track.

In fact, the Road Warriors activated the 6-feet-7 former top overall pick in time for Friday's game against Magnolia.

Last time he was on the spotlight, he played a vital role in Gilas Pilipinas' redemption campaign in the Phnom Penh Southeast Asian Games last May.

Lim said Ganuelas-Rosser started working out two weeks ago and his improvement was remarkable despite playing with a serious injury.

"For the most part of last PBA conference (Governors' Cup last season) and the SEA Games, I was playing with a fractured left tibia. I had no clue, so I was very lucky my leg wasn't hurt badly while playing," wrote Ganuelas-Rosser via Messenger.

"But now, my broken leg is healed after doing continues rehab."

In last season's Governors' Cup, Ganuelas-Rosser became the Road Warriors' premier big man as he averaged 15.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and two blocks per game.

The younger brother of TNT forward Matt Ganuelas-Rosser took over the spot of injured veteran guard Kevin Alas, who was placed on the injury list after suffering his third anterior cruciate ligament tear.
