DMW: 10th batch of Filipino repatriates from Israel arriving 30 November

The Department of Migrant Workers announced on Wednesday that another batch of overseas Filipino workers is set to arrive tomorrow, 30 November.

The agency is expecting about 36 OFWs from Israel to arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at 6:30 p.m. via Philippine Airlines PR731.

The repatriates are said to consist of 32 caregivers and four hotel workers. The arriving OFWs will be the 10th batch coming from Israel, bringing the total number of repatriates to 335.

Meanwhile, the total number of repatriates from Lebanon is now 37, according to Department of Migrant Workers Officer-in-Charge Hans Leo Cacdac, who added that the department is still processing around 200 Filipinos in Lebanon for repatriation.

Four Filipinos from the West Bank, out of 25, have returned to the Philippines.

The DMW said the repatriates will receive financial assistance worth P50,000 each, along with comprehensive reintegration assistance and job facilitation services for other employment opportunities.

Aside from the financial assistance from the DMW, each OFW will also receive P50,000 financial assistance from OWWA, P20,000 livelihood assistance from DSWD and P5,000 from TESDA.
