One of the best gaming-focused events in the nation, REV Major 2023, gathered together recently a large tournament pool of gamers at the SMX Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Well-known fighting games like Tekken 7, Guilty Gear, Melty Blood, and Street Fighter 6 drew the best players around. Also serving as top attractions were the free-play booth for independent fighting games Vita Fighters and Sinag.

Retro gaming had a blast, thanks to Tito Steef allowing attendees to experience games from generations past.

Additionally, Globe and the ASUS Republic of Gamers had their own booths, the former featuring a multi-game arcade machine with free play for attendees, as well as GFighter Zone and UniPin booths.

The latter, on the other hand, had the ROG Ally handheld unit, the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro WiFi Modem, the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 540hz Gaming Monitor (1080p).

Monitors galore

Also used to full effect were the Swift PG27AQN 360Hz (1440p), billed as the world's first 24.1-inch full high-definition; and the 1440p ESports gaming monitors. Audio was stellar with the ROG Cetra True Wireless Earbuds.

Samsung was there, too, with their Neo QLED 8K and Odyssey Gaming Monitor. Pizza Hut Gaming partnered with Charles and James, as well as Smirnoff, in their own gaming booth.

DataBlitz and SV Gaming Arena showcased peripherals such as keyboards, bluetooth controllers, and speakers. The former also sold PS5 units and accessories like colored plates or first-party controllers.

Tekken World Tour 2023 also livestreamed competing fighters from all over the globe in an on-site tournament. On hand were Markman, Kidd and Pochspice. Among the participants, Ulsan stood towering as the champion, this year's King of the Hill.

There was a small artists' alley and store from the REV Major goods and fanart, such as stickers and posters from Maimai Arts, Sparkle Story PH and NoMeat Gaming. Mice, keyboards and mats were on sale from Dotted.
