Personnel of Special Operations Unit 3 together with anti-narcotics authorities of Muntinlupa City Police in coordination with PDEA Regional Office-NCR arrested two drug suspects in a joint buy-bust operation under COPLAN LUPINE at Summitville, Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City, past 7 p.m. on 22 September.
Arrested suspects were identified as James Regonay y Marcalda, 37 years old, and Dante Cleofe y Lopez, 48 years old, both residing in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
Seized in the operation was one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 25 grams of suspected shabu (subject of sale), one transparent plastic bag containing two knot-tied transparent plastics containing more or less 500 grams suspected shabu (possession), one cellphone, two coin pouch containing Identification cards. Aside from the suspected drugs, authorities also seized various drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
The confiscated illegal drugs weighing more or less 525 grams of shabu worth P3,570,000 were turned over to PNP Forensic Group, Camp Crame, while arrested suspects will be temporarily turned over to Muntinlupa City Police for proper disposition.
The suspects will be facing complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
