ONIC downs Blacklist; Minana upsets RSG

Gold laner Boss A had some spicy choice words for Blacklist International jungler Sensui after ONIC PH earned its first win in the MPL PH Season 12 on Saturday at Shooting Gallery Studio in Makati.

Bannered by Super Frince, Raizen, Perkziva, Nets, and Jem, ONIC PH snapped its three-game losing streak with a sweep over fan-favorite Blacklist International that saw Raizen named as series MVP.

Shortly after the match, Boss A lashed out at his former teammate Sensui for losing the retri battle with Raizen.

"The enemy's core used to be our teammate. Their watch does not work, but mine does. I think he is looking for the retri (retribution) button because he cannot retri. That was why he got removed from ONIC," Boss A taunted.

Raizen, meanwhile, credited the win to their workout routine.

"ONIC has changed. We go to the gym and our bodies feel empowered. It's like our heroes got stronger," he quipped.

Now with a standing of 1-3, ONIC PH has climbed to the top 4 spot of the ladder with 5 points.

Minana Evos, meanwhile, also scored its first win of the season after it pulled off an upset over Season 9 champion and MSC 2022 champion RSG PH via sweep. Similar to ONIC, Minana now has a standing of 1-3 with 4 points and currently sits at top 6.

"For this match, we did not know if we could win via sweep. It was only last night that it was announced that I was playing. We did not expect to win this," said Minana's junger BoyetAR.

Defending champion ECHO also saw action earlier and continued their winning ways with a sweep over TNC.
