ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Land Transportation Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao is renovating its branches in Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi to provide its clients a better venue while transacting with BARMM-LTO.

BARMM-LTO Director Anwar Upahm said yesterday that the LTO office in Cotabato City and Isabela City in Basilan province have already started to undertake the facelift of their respective facilities to make them pleasant for their clientele and visitors.

At present, Upahm said there are about eight LTO national sites present in the BARMM, which are under Regions 9 and 12.

The LTO offices in Isabela City, Jolo and Bongao have already been turned over to BARMM-LTO, he said.

Four other LTO offices in the mainland BARMM are now preparing for the turnover of their function and responsibility to the BARMM-LTO, he added.

These are the LTO in Marawi City and Wao town in Lanao del Sur, Datu Abdullah Sangki in Maguindanao del Sur and Maguindanao del Norte.

Upahm said once the four offices are turned over to them, he will immediately set aside a budget for their renovation.

Part of the facelift is the provision of a waiting lounge manned by a customer care officer.

The system will make it easier for their clients to avail of the basic services of BARMM-LTO, Upahm said.

The BARMM-LTO director said a new and modern approach in providing services will be adopted by their employees in all offices region-wide.
