Legacy and modernity meet in new Charriol pieces

TDT

After taking over the company after her father passed on, Coralie Charriol went on to infuse a modern edge into the brand's classic pieces.

In March 2021, Charriol renamed three Celtic bangles after inspiring ladies ahead of their time.

These were The Amanda bangle (named after Amanda Gorman, American poet and activist noticed for her poise and eloquence at President Biden's 2021 inauguration); The Greta bangle (named after Greta Thunberg, the Swedish phenom who ignited a global movement by challenging world leaders to take immediate action against climate change); and The Justine bangle (named after Justine Dupont, the French professional surfer caught in one of the biggest waves on record in Navarre, Portugal, displaying exceptional grace and calm under pressure).

This year, Iza Calzado was named as one of Charriol's International Women, launching The Izadora bangle in March 2022.

Embracing her uniqueness, Calzado is an influential advocate for female empowerment, particularly in raising awareness on the importance of physical, emotional, and mental well
-being. She brings positivity and inspiration to women, especially on how women think about themselves.

Charriol's choice of the Celtic line is based on its brand's history: The Celtic Art is at the heart of Charriol creations and remains its keystone and daring source of inspiration for almost 40 years.

The Izadora was among the pieces showcased at the recent Sunset Cocktails hosted by Charriol and SSI Group, Inc. at Okada Manila's Chairman's Lounge, which was transformed into a balmy Saint-Tropez summer evening.

Gracing the event were Charriol International's chief executive officer and creative director Coralie Charriol Paul, chief operating officer Dennis Paul, director of international sales Antoine Lecomte, and SSI Group Inc.'s president Anton Huang.

Dedicated to pursuing her father's legacy, Coralie has set the strategic and creative priorities for the business to redesign classic pieces and bridge the gap between the brand's e-commerce platform and its brick-and-stone.

For her visit and the special affair, the latest collections of the brand were showcased to the guests including the iconic St. Tropez line with its new Mariner design and an Apple Watch strap.

Host Janeena Chan wore the Charriol Celtic Legacy watch. Actor Iza Calzado was blooming in her white outfit. Also seen were celebrities Janine Gutierrez, Kyline Alcantara, Pia Guanio Mago, and Katarina Rodriguez, as well as influencers and Aiyana Perlas, Bethany Talbot, Maureen Schrijvers, Pauline Suarez, Pia Padre, Almira Teng, and Kelly Misa.

The event was flawlessly capped off by performances from soulful singer-songwriter Nicole Laurel Asensio, and heart-pumping beats from Filipino-Australian DJ Emel Rowe.
