State weather bureau PAGASA-DOST announced a total lunar eclipse will be visible in the Philippines by 8 November.
"On 08 November in Manila, the eclipse will begin at 5:19 p.m. (moonrise), with the totality of the eclipse beginning at 6:16 p.m.," said PAGASA, with the "greatest eclipse" (maximum) or the peak stage of the lunar eclipse at 6:59 p.m. until 07:42 p.m.
It will then go into a partial eclipse until 8:49 p.m. and end at 9:58 p.m.
The PAGASA Astronomical Observatory said it will stream the event live on its official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The eclipse will also be seen in different parts of the world — where the Moon is above the horizon — including Asia, Australia, North America, parts of Northern and Eastern Europe, and most of South America.
PAGASA added a lunar occultation of Uranus, or the moon obscuring or passing in front of Uranus, will occur on the same day.
In the Philippines, the occultation will occur during the total eclipse, visible and best observed in the northern parts of the country.
