Three cheers for Dusit Davao!

The three contemporary and vibrant properties that blend Thai experience with Filipino hospitality, Dusit Thani Residence, Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort, and dusitD2 Davao — collectively called Dusit Davao, which celebrates its third anniversary — wishes to commemorate this momentous occasion by creating better lives for children.

The Dusit Davao X Emilia Sitjar Jewellery Charity Gala, an event which celebrates art, fashion, and culture for the benefit of the SOS Children's Village in Davao City, is a two-day affair.

The Opening Ceremony and the Dusit Masterclass are scheduled on 11 November, and the Dusit Charity Gala Night on 12 November.

The SOS Children's Village was established in 1981 and is the only children's village of its kind in the entire region.

"We are very happy to give Davao something grand but purposeful post-pandemic. Our partners are the best in their own industries, with Emilia Sitjar Jewellery and Davao Fashion and Design Council (DFDC) taking the fashion scene in Mindanao a notch higher through this event," said GM Christoph Kuch.

On the first day, the Dusit Masterclass will showcase lectures by Emil Sitjar on Jewellery as Investment, DFDC designer Emi Englis on The Evolution of Mindanao Fashion; Image Enhancement speaker Patty Betita on Elevating Your Persona; and Ambassador of Philippine Fashion Renee Salud on Building a Fashion Empire.

The following evening, the Dusit Charity Gala Night at the Dusit Thani Grand Ballroom at the Dusit Thani Residence Davao will be the venue for a four-course Thai dinner and the runway show.

The evening will feature the Emilia Sitjar: A Springtime of Gratitude collection, a positive assemblage of elegant diamonds and colorful gemstones, aimed to energize those who have survived the worst years of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, with the theme "Elements," the fashion show will highlight the ensembles of DFDC designers led by president Dodjie Batu, Aztec Barba, Emi Englis, Edgar Buyan, Benjie Panizales, Windel Mira, Bamba Limon, and Egay Ayag.

The show is directed by Jackie Aquino.
