To ensure that the streets are cleared and to prevent accidents due to the destruction of Super Typhoon Karding, personnel of local governments are helping each other to clean up different parts of Northern Manila.
In Valenzuela City, the clearing operation includes personnel of Clean and Green, Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Health Office, and City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Because of their hard work and dedication, the roads in the city have been repaired and are back to normal.
At 11:00 am on Tuesday, all the evacuation sites in the city are cleared.
Disinfection teams were also deployed in schools and evacuation sites to ensure the rooms are clean, safe, and ready for occupancy.
In Caloocan City, the clearing operations carried out by the City Environmental and Management Department (CEMD), they continue to clear debris, fallen trees and other obstructions, after the strong winds and rain caused by Karding.
Caloocan City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CCDRRMO) staff are also continuing to monitor the water level in the Tullahan River.
According to CCDRRMO Chief Dr. James Lao, they will continue to monitor the river until the rain continues.
In Malabon City, same time as the clearing operation, relief goods and hot meals have been also distributed to 83 people in Brgy.Tañong, who were affected by the super thypoon.
In other barangays, the total number of those still in evacuation centers is 443 individuals and 107 families.
