KALIBO, Aklan — The Philippine Military Academy is eyeing some 300 new cadet recruits this year, according to entrance exam testing center officer-in-charge Captain Willy Gayo.

Gayo said the Visayas leg of the examinations will be on 10 to 11 September, which is simultaneous with examinations in Kalibo, Aklan (Northwestern Visayan College); Iloilo City (Iloilo Central Elementary School); Bacolod City (STI West Negros University); Dumaguete City (Negros Oriental State University), Cebu City (Eladio Memorial Gym, University of Southern Philippines Foundation);
Catbalogan City (8th ID PA Camp Vicente Lukban); Tacloban City (Leyte National High School); Tagbilaran City, Bohol (Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School); and Ormoc City (Multi Purpose Hall, 2nd Floor New City Hall Building).

He added that while they are eyeing to get at least 300 recruits, the Marcos administration still has a prerogative to increase the number in the coming days.

"We are doing the annual entrance examination to urge young people to join the academy," Gayo said.

He also urged those interested to bring in their necessary requirements in the entrance examination including their hygiene kit.
