Drug busts kill two suspects

Two suspected drug dealers were killed when they allegedly engaged anti-narcotics policemen in shoot-outs during separate drug sting operations over the weekend in Laguna.

In Biñan City, Alex Gayoba of Barangay Canlalay, died following a gunfight with the law enforcers during a drug sting in Barangay dela Paz around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Laguna police chief Senior Supt. Elezar Matta said that Gayoba was a known drug dealer in the community and was included in their drug watch list.

Recovered from him were 20 sachets of suspected “shabu” worth P47,600.

In Sta. Rosa City, drug suspect Rocky Trinidad was also killed after engaging the police in a shoot-out in Barangay Tagapo around 9:30 p.m. last Friday.
