For a peaceful and credible Parliamentary elections

Commission on Elections Chairperson George Erwin Garcia witnesses the signing of a memorandum of agreement between the Independent Election Monitoring Center (IEMC-BARMM) and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) to promote peaceful, orderly, transparent and credible first BARMM Parliamentary Elections at Notre Dame University in Cotabato City on 11 September 2026. The agreement calls for the consolidation of election-monitoring reports that may be used as a basis for investigations and, when warranted, the filing and prosecution of electoral offenses before the COMELEC. Garcia said the COMELEC is “99.5% ready” for the Parliamentary Elections on 14 September, citing the readiness of election personnel and Special Electoral Boards from the Philippine National Police.
