Barangay Pandaguirig in the town of Floridablanca, Pampanga is seeking justice for the death of a locally known pandesal vendor who was found dead inside a plastic container near a river in the town of San Miguel, Bulacan on 14 August 2026.
According to Barangay Pandaguirig, pandesal vendor and resident Jonel V. Serrano went missing at Barangay Sta. Rita Bata in the town of San Miguel , Bulacan on 9 August, who was selling pandesal in the area.
After a few days, his motorcycle was found near a river where he went missing. And on 14 August, his body was found inside a plastic container in the said area.
"Taos pusong pakikiramay sa pamilyang naiwan ng ating kabarangay na si Jonel V. Serrano, kung saan naiulat na nawawala at huling nakita noong ika-9 ng Agosto 2026 sa Sta Rita Bata, San Miguel, Bulacan. Siya po ay nag-hahanapbuhay sa nasabing bayan bilang nagtitinda ng pandesal," Barangay Pandaguirig stated.
Thru Barangay Captain Jess David Santos, the Sanggunian Barangay, and the support of Floridablanca Mayor Michael Lugtu Galang, the body of Jonel was returned to his family and was subsequently buried.
"Mula sa aming mga nanunungkulan at pamilya ng nawalang buhay na si Jonel V. Serrano, kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa patuloy na suporta ng ating mahal na Punong Bayan," the Barangay stated.
