Cebu businessman and aviation executive Blake Nelson Go has been recognized for his dual contributions to regional retail expansion and local humanitarian initiatives.
Go, who serves as the vice president for business development and finance at Prince Warehouse Club Inc., was recently named one of the region's top business leaders at the Men in Business Awards.
Under his management, the retail chain has grown to employ more than 2,000 workers while maintaining a market focus on providing affordable goods to local consumers.
Outside of his corporate role, Go manages several philanthropic initiatives. Through the Asociación Benevola de Cebu and the Benevola de Cebu Foundation, he supports infrastructure development and medical equipment procurement for Chong Hua Hospital.
Go has also directed corporate disaster response operations in the region. Following major local disasters, including the Bogo earthquake and Typhoon Tino, Go managed relief distribution teams while Prince Warehouse Club allocated millions of pesos in material assistance to displaced families.
"Businesses have a responsibility to help during times of crisis," Go said, noting that private enterprise should serve as a partner to government nation-building.
In addition to his retail and charitable work, Go is active in the aviation sector. A student pilot, he recently earned the Certified Aviation Manager credential from the National Business Aviation Association and is currently pursuing advanced studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Go has used his platform to advocate for modernized airport infrastructure and enhanced aviation safety protocols to improve the country's competitiveness in transportation and tourism.
