Insular Life (InLife), the country’s largest life insurer, will power its Makati and Alabang offices entirely with renewable energy through a partnership with ACEN RES. The agreement will source clean electricity from ACEN Corp.’s solar, wind, and geothermal facilities.
“InLife’s transition to renewable energy and adherence to globally recognized standards in environmentally safe infrastructure are efforts to lead by example and drive meaningful change towards a sustainable future,” Hector A. Caunan, Executive Vice President and Chief Property Investment Officer of InLife, said in a statement on Thursday.
The initiative, which benefits from programs like Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) and the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), aims to reduce emissions while improving electricity cost efficiency.
Tony Valdez, Senior Vice President for Market Transformation and Retail at ACEN, added: “We are honored to partner with InLife, a leader in the insurance industry, on their journey to sustainability.
This collaboration is a testament to the increasing consciousness of businesses to not only manage their operational costs but also to create a positive environmental impact. We are committed to supporting InLife in achieving their green ambitions.”
