A new season has begun — but this time, the spotlight no longer belongs only to the candidates.

At the official season launch and press presentation in Manila, the Miss Universe Philippines organization introduced a competition shaped as much by public participation as by pageant tradition. Delegates, partners, and media gathered for what signaled a shift in philosophy: the crown is no longer decided solely onstage, but also through the collective voice of Filipinos nationwide.

For Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag, the evolution is intentional.

“Elevating pageantry requires balancing tradition with innovation, and that’s the responsibility we carry every year.”

He explained that the competition has steadily grown beyond a single coronation night into a nationwide movement involving communities, creatives, and local leaders.

“For the past six years, we’ve treated MUPH as something we nurture with intention because it impacts far more than the stage… MUPH is much more than a pageant. It is a platform rooted in kindness, fairness, and credibility, representing the true strength and beauty of the Filipino.”

When fans become judges

The biggest transformation comes from audience participation. Through digital voting, supporters are no longer spectators — they are contributors to the outcome.

“What Maya provides is giving Filipino fans the power to choose who will represent the country and wear the Philippine sash,” said Christopher Ray Manguera.

He emphasized that viewers will participate throughout the competition, not just at the end.

“Through free daily voting, everyone can have a say… You vote with Maya, you make your voice heard, and you help choose the next Miss Universe Philippines.”

From preliminary activities to the semifinals, public scoring now complements the judges’ deliberation, turning the journey into a shared national experience.

Backing brilliance: the forces behind the 2026 season

In line with the organization’s mission, Miss Universe Philippines 2026 also introduced a wide network of partners supporting the delegates across beauty, wellness, fashion, lifestyle, and overall competition readiness. MUPH 2026 moves forward with a strengthened support system for the delegates, backed by collaborations covering participation, production, preparation, wellness, and styling.

The season is co-presented by Pina Beauty for the second year and Jell Life for the third year, with PlayTime Entertainment joining as the official presenting partner, while fan engagement is expanded through Maya, the Official Online Voting App for secure and interactive voting.

Pamela Mejia, CEO of Pina Beauty and Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Delegates, emphasized the role of partners at the forefront of the pageant’s iconic symbol, Jewelmer, alongside major supporters such as Dyln Skin Inc. and Abu Philippines, contributing to the delegates’ competition readiness.

The season is further supported by partners across sun protection, women’s health, wellness, intimate wear, dental care, hair and color, and fabric care — represented by Belo Sunscreen, New Moon, Surge, Soen, Urban Smiles, Vitress, Pantene, and Zonrox Colorsafe — with additional support from Ever Bilena / Hello Glow, Tipco / Del Monte, Within the BOX, and the Nix Institute of Beauty. Strengthening the season behind the scenes are key collaborators such as Divina Law, Wuling, Culture Salon, and Tei Endencia, with lifestyle and creative support reflected through Mags, Camden Food Hub, Pablo, and other contributors powering the journey ahead.

Beyond the ballroom

The season also expands the pageant into destinations across the country, integrating travel, tourism, and cultural storytelling into the competition narrative. Instead of confining activities to one venue, candidates will immerse themselves in different locations — transforming the pageant into a moving showcase of the Philippines.

This approach underscores a broader goal: make representation visible not only on television, but in communities themselves.

A platform that continues to evolve

As the organization enters its seventh year, the message to candidates is clear — excellence must now exist in every stage of the journey.

“In Miss Universe Philippines, always be at your peak. We are introducing a new selection format that rallies public support and showcases transparency at every step,” Tayag said.

“We are bringing the journey closer to Filipinos by allowing them to have a significant say in every stage up to the semifinals. Every moment matters. Every stage of the competition is an opportunity to showcase your best.”

The changes redefine what winning means. Beyond beauty and performance, the next titleholder must connect, communicate, and resonate with people across the country.

In this new era, the crown is no longer simply awarded — it is collectively chosen.
