KORONADAL CITY — Business owners across South Cotabato can now renew their permits faster and with greater convenience following the opening of one-stop shops in all local government units (LGUs) in the province.
The initiative, led by the South Cotabato Economic Investment and Promotion Center (SCEIPC), consolidates key government offices and frontline services in a single location, significantly streamlining procedures and reducing processing time for business permit renewals.
SCEIPC chief Tyron Jann Villanueva said the rollout reflects the provincial government’s commitment to delivering accessible, efficient, and business-friendly public services.
“The formal opening of the one-stop shops in each LGU supports our local business sector by making government services more efficient and responsive to their needs,” Villanueva said.
The one-stop shops officially began operations this week and will cater to business owners during scheduled periods in each municipality and city. LGUs with active one-stop shops include Koronadal City, Polomolok, Tupi, Banga, Surallah, Norala, Tantangan, Sto. Niño, Tampakan, Lake Sebu, and Tboli.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. said the program is aligned with his administration’s push to promote investment, spur economic growth, and strengthen entrepreneurship across the province.
By simplifying transactions and improving coordination among government offices, the provincial government aims to create a more conducive environment for doing business, encourage compliance, generate employment, and boost local economic development.
Provincial officials urged business owners to take full advantage of the one-stop shops to ensure timely permit renewals and to support South Cotabato’s broader drive for efficient governance and a thriving local economy.
