The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reminded 820 newly recruited police officers to maintain discipline and uphold the integrity of the organization as they begin their careers in law enforcement.
The recruits were selected under the Calendar Year 2025 Attrition Recruitment Program through the PNP’s Nameless and Faceless system and will be deployed to various National Support Units, including the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Drug Enforcement Group, Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group, Special Action Force, Anti-Kidnapping Group, Communications and Electronics Service, Headquarters Support Services, and the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group.
PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., in his message over the weekend, stressed that decisions made during training could directly affect the recruits’ future in the service. He warned against misconduct and emphasized the importance of discipline and focus throughout the training period.
Nartatez also led the symbolic turnover of Salary ATM cards to the new recruits during the ceremony, noting that the activity coincided with recent measures aimed at improving the welfare of uniformed personnel.
Earlier this month, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed Executive Order 107 approving increases in base pay and allowances for military and uniformed personnel. The adjustments will be implemented in phases beginning January 1, 2026.
Under the first phase, a patrolman’s base pay will increase from P29,668.00 to P31,151.00, while the daily subsistence allowance will rise to P350.00, or P10,500.00 monthly. Combined compensation is estimated at P44,821.00 starting January 2026.
