Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ADD PCol Randy Glenn Silvio held a press conference on Saturday, 20 December, following the arrest of three suspects—Jereme, Christian, and Malabad—linked to the robbery of a six-wheeler delivery truck carrying high-value electronics in Quezon City on 12 December. According to the investigation report, the driver and helper of MBTA Resources Inc. were en route to deliver electronic goods to various forwarding companies in Manila. They made a brief stop at a carinderia along Betty Go-Belmonte Street, Quezon City, when nine armed suspects forcibly took control of their truck, loaded with JBL speakers, computer parts, and accessories valued at Php1.9 million, and locked the driver and helper inside the cargo compartment. The suspects drove the truck toward Bulacan and later stopped at a vacant lot along Pandi Road, Pandi, Bulacan, where the driver and helper were released. The victims immediately sought help and contacted their company. Further investigation revealed that the stolen cargo had been transferred to another six-wheeler truck and transported via NLEX, exiting at R-10 en route to Tondo, Manila. The QCPD continues the manhunt for the two remaining suspects.
