Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. and United States Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay L. Carlson conducted an inspection on the ongoing joint foreign disaster relief mission of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the United States Military Forces at the Clark Air Base on November 15, 2025.
According to PAF, the said visit highlighted the strong partnership and coordinated efforts of both nations in delivering vital humanitarian assistance.
The two high-ranking officials checked the family food packs prepared for distribution to communities affected by Typhoons “Tino” and “Uwan” in Catanduanes.
Teodorio lauded the rapid mobilization of personnel and resources, emphasizing the need to maintain steady support for areas affected by consecutive weather disturbances.
The Defense Secretary also commended the seamless interoperability of Filipino and American forces, underscoring that the Philippines’ enduring alliance with the United States significantly enhances the nation’s disaster readiness and response capabilities.
He assured that protecting the lives and welfare of the Filipino people remains the defense establishment’s foremost priority as both nations continue to deliver timely and life-saving assistance to affected communities.
Following the visit, the final batch of relief goods—comprising 1,500 family food packs—were also delivered, further demonstrating the sustained momentum of the joint humanitarian operations in reaching communities most affected by the recent typhoons.
