Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) is now officially part of United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), one of the country’s biggest multi-brand automotive distributors. The move formally places Jetour under UAAGI’s growing lineup that marks another step in the company’s steady expansion in the Philippine auto industry.
UAAGI, established in 2006 under the leadership of chairman Rommel L. Sytin, has built a strong reputation for bringing global automotive brands to Filipino buyers. Over the years, it has become known for its consistent after-sales service and solid nationwide presence. With Jetour now on board, UAAGI holds exclusive distributorship rights for six brands that include Foton Motor Philippines Inc., Chery Auto Philippines, BAIC Philippines, Lynk & Co Philippines, Radar Philippines and Jetour Auto Philippines.
“Integrating Jetour into the UAAGI family marks a pivotal moment, strengthening our unwavering commitment to provide Filipinos with accessible, innovative, and reliable mobility solutions. Jetour’s unique market positioning — combining practicality with a distinct sense of style — perfectly responds to the evolving needs of modern families and individuals,” Rommel L. Sytin, UAAGI chairman, said.
Jetour’s inclusion comes at a time when UAAGI is growing its reach across the country. The company has recently added Radar Philippines to its portfolio as it expands further its selection from commercial vehicles to more lifestyle-oriented and electric offerings. With Jetour, UAAGI strengthens its presence in the family and SUV segment, one of the most competitive markets in the Philippines today.
Jetour entered the local market in 2023 and quickly made an impression on Filipino drivers. The brand offers a mix of practicality and comfort, backed by technology suited for everyday use. Its lineup includes the Ice Cream EV, X50, X70, X70 Plus, Dashing, and the flagship T2 SUV. These models cater to a wide range of preferences, from compact city cars to rugged family haulers.
In just a year, Jetour grew to 21 dealerships nationwide and recorded more than 2,600 unit sales in 2024, a milestone that shows strong acceptance from local buyers. The Jetour T2 SUV has been the brand’s standout model. It has gained recognition both in the Philippines and overseas for its bold styling and capable performance.
The new partnership shows UAAGI’s long-term strategy to deliver a wider range of mobility choices for Filipino consumers. Beyond adding new brands, the company is investing in its dealership network, parts availability, and customer service to ensure a more complete ownership experience.
Sytin said that integrating Jetour into UAAGI’s operations reinforces the company’s goal of providing vehicles that fit the changing lifestyles of Filipinos. “Our vision has always been to give every customer a trustworthy choice,” he said. “Jetour’s entry helps us continue that mission while keeping pace with how the market is evolving.”
As UAAGI continues to grow, its expanding portfolio shows how the local automotive scene is shifting toward variety and innovation. Jetour’s addition not only strengthens UAAGI’s position but also gives Filipino drivers more options for practical, stylish, and dependable vehicles.
