Secret Service Employee was reported to be suspended after praising assassination of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk in controversial social media post.
According to a report from Fox News Digital, the U.S. secret service said any behavior that violates their code of conduct will not be tolerated. The said employee was immediately put on administrative lead, a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson told when asked about the employment of Anthony Pough.
Pough had expressed satisfaction of Kirk’s shocking assassination in a Facebook post, where he also accused the late conservative figure of promoting “racism."
Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn urged the Secret Service to immediately fire the employee in a letter to Director Sean Curran on Thursday.
She also posted on X, saying, “As our country mourns Charlie Kirk’s tragic death, a rogue Secret Service agent suggested on Facebook that he deserved it. I’m demanding this agent be fired right away. The Secret Service needs serious reform."
Kirk was at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon when a lone gunshot hit him in the neck, eventually causing his death.
