Several areas in Albay, Antique, and Negros Occidental have announced the suspension of classes on Monday, 1 September 2025, due to unfavorable weather conditions. Additional suspensions were later announced for other provinces, including areas in Metro Manila, following advisories from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (PDRRMOs).

Albay

  • Bacacay – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Guinobatan – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Libon – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Malilipot – all levels

  • Malinao – all levels

  • Oas – all levels

  • Pio Duran – all levels

  • Polangui – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Sto. Domingo – all levels

  • Tabaco City – all levels, no face-to-face classes

Antique

  • Anini-y – preschool to senior high school, no face-to-face classes

  • Bugasong – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Patnongon – all levels

  • Sibalom – preschool to senior high school

  • Tibiao – preschool to high school

  • Tobias Fornier – all levels

  • University of Antique – no face-to-face classes

Negros Occidental

  • Cauayan – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Himamaylan – all levels

  • Isabela – all levels, no face-to-face classes

  • Kabankalan – all levels

Nationwide advisory

According to a Facebook post by the DILG, citing the PDRRMO, heavy rainfall is ongoing in multiple regions, prompting suspensions of classes (all levels, public and private) and government work in the following areas:

  • National Capital Region (NCR)

  • Cavite

  • Laguna

  • Bulacan

  • Rizal

  • Pampanga

  • Quezon

  • Camarines Norte

  • Camarines Sur

  • Albay

  • Catanduanes

  • Sorsogon

  • Masbate

  • Northern Samar

  • Occidental Mindoro

  • Antique

  • Negros Occidental

Authorities warn of possible flooding in affected areas and advise residents to monitor official channels for further updates and safety instructions.
