Real estate developer Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. celebrated its 31st anniversary with its first-ever Empire East Fun Run, held on 15 July 2025, at its flagship township, Empire East Highland City.
The event transformed the township’s wide roads into a lively venue for fitness, unity, and corporate camaraderie, as hundreds of Empire East employees and salesforce participants gathered in color-coded team shirts for a 3.1-kilometer race — a symbolic distance commemorating the company’s 31 years in the industry.
“The Empire East Fun Run is a unique way to celebrate our journey—not just as a company, but as individuals and teams who continue to move forward together,” said Empire East President and CEO Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu. “It also allowed us to showcase Empire East Highland City’s potential to become a go-to destination for jogging, biking, and active urban living.”
The race coursed through the township’s 4- and 6-lane roads along Felix Avenue, currently under development, featuring wide sidewalks and dedicated bike lanes. The route served as a preview of the walkable, wellness-oriented community Empire East envisions for the area.
Beyond the race, the event emphasized sustainability. Designed as a zero-waste celebration, participants were encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, and snack boxes with healthy refreshments were provided after the run. No trash was left behind, thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved.
To commemorate the milestone, the first 31 finishers received custom medals symbolizing the company’s legacy of shaping future-ready communities.
“This was more than just a run — it was a chance to reset, connect with colleagues, and be reminded of what makes Empire East such a strong community,” said Elmer Torres from the Documentation Management Group, who clinched first place.
“It felt great to break a sweat, have fun, and be part of something meaningful,” added Dion Vidal, a real estate salesperson who finished second.
Empire East said the Fun Run was not just a celebration of the past three decades, but also a statement of its continued commitment to health, sustainability, and community-building through innovative and lifestyle-driven developments.
